Where to eat in Lisbon

Back in 2018-2019 I was lucky enough to be working with a company based in Lisbon, Portugal and over that time I fell in love with the city, it’s people and even more so, it’s food thanks to my friend Ricardo. As a result of working there, I was taken to some wonderful restaurants and eateries. Here is a list of my top choices.
1. O Magano
2. Nómada
3. Nunes Real Marisqueira
4. Luminosa by Furnas
1. O Magano
R. Tomás da Anunciação

Definitely my favourite hands down. Excellent quality seafood and meat. The clams are to die for – try the pork and clams dish or even better still, clams in butter, garlic and coriander. So simple and so amazing! My favourite dish here has to be the pig cheeks! Incredible. Simple cooking, oil, garlic, good quality food. You’ll need to book in advance, this place is popular!
2. Nómada
Avenida Visconde Valmor, 40A
1050-240 Lisbon [Map]
Modern Japanese! Incredible and really it should be when you have such wonderfully fresh seafood at your doorstep. Try the scallops, oysters and they do a beef with fairgoer (sp?) which is incredible!

3. Nunes Real Marisqueira
Seafood Restaurant
Rua Bartolomeu Dias, 120
1400 Lisbon

This is simply a great seafood restaurant. All good here. Shellfish soup is amazing! Order the large beer, comes in a frosty aluminium pint mug!
4. Luminosa by Furnas
Av. Almirante Reis, 166C
1000-053 Lisbon
Shellfish boats… incredible!
Good seafood/Japanese. Not everything is great and the fish by kilo can be expensive but have had some great dishes here.

Honorable mentions

Rabo d’Pêxe
Av. Duque de Ávila, 42B
1050-083 Lisbon
Brazilian meat fest! Cheap and cheerful where they come around with skewers of barbequed meat to your table. The grilled banana is awesome.

Chimarrão
Parque das Nações
1900-231 Lisbon
Didn’t get to eat the snails here but it has a decent rating. The food I ate was good.

O Filho do Menino Júlio dos Caracóis
R. Vale Formoso de Cima, 140B
1950 Lisbon
Portugal
