GREAT NEWS!

Foluke is pregnant and we are expecting our first child in March!

We are extremely excited and after a few inital scares things have leveled out although Foluke was in hospital last week with extreme abdonimal pains. Yes, these are the joys that they don’t tell you about but thankfully, baby is growing well and doing fine. When they did the scan, baby was standing up! Right little goat… anyway, here are some pictures of our baby.

At the cricket

Sunday, October 9th, 2005

This picture was taken at the final One Day match between Austalia and England at the Oval, this year. Dave (my work mate)and I had just walked in through security (it was 5 days after the London bombings) and this prat from Vodaphone was doing a promotion. As it ended up the bird got in on the action and Dave was singing a few AC/DC songs in his head…

Anyway, I was bloody lucky to get a ticket, as was dave my companion and man with the connnnexions… you see, now the Poms have a decent team, tickets became sort after and even though him and his chums had been going to the games since 1985, through thick and thin, they missed out on a test palce. Thankfully, a little bit of whinging went along way and they managed to get 6 tickets, one which went to me.

Even better for me was the Australian performance (McGrath 4 wickets and Gilchrist brilliant 100) and the look of utter annoyance as I am dancing around getting more elated (drunk) and taking the piss. Pity it didn’t carry on to the Ashes… oh well.

Sigor Ros Video – Glosoli

Sunday, October 9th, 2005

The new video for Icelandic band Sigor Ros is pretty special. They’ve started signing, albeit in Icelandic – so it’s pretty much like another instrument to my brain, but it has that nice cinematic feel to it all, build up, crescendo, etc. Don’t think I like them enough to buy their album but I would recomend having a look at this even though the ending is a little cheesy and predictable.

Check out the video here and I’d recommend the cinematic version…
